Here are the colour photographs that I took for the project. As mentioned before I just wanted to photograph the field in colour and the forest in B&W, which will hopefully highlight the difference between them.

As with the B&W images, these were also shot just using film, mainly being Kodak Ektar 100. I like this film because of the colour boost, it seems to oversaturate the image and that makes the primary colours really strong. I was also trying to capture a romantic impression, something that did not seem too real and more of a fantasy which is something that some people expect from a landscape.

In total I used 8 rolls of film, all of them 120 format. I was also shooting them at the same time as the B&W forest shots as I was in the area and were taken between July to August.

Overall I am reasonably happy with the results, but I feel that there is room for improvement. I think if I was to take the photographs again, I would do it on different days to when I was also photographing the forest. This is because the forest needed overcast lighting and the field more direct lighting. Also it would of been better to of used the morning or evening golden light as this would of romanticised the images.

I also think I would of used a different film. Even though I like Kodak Ektar 100, I feel that Kodak Potra 160 would of been more realistic, which would of worked better. Also with photographing the field I found that it was fairly dull and uninspiring, which is the exact opposite to the field, and so I needed to work harder to get good images.

Also something that I did not expect was that half way through the series, the field was harvested. I found that this gave the field a narrative, that I wouldn't be able to mix the images I took earlier with the photographs taken later and this would have ramifications when it comes to editing. But it also gave something new to photograph, which then helped to make the field a bit more interesting because everything had changed.

But, eventually I had enough material to feel confident that I could produce 15 images for the book.
